Provider Guide

Life is wonderful and we want you to use your time to do the things you love. Use our extensive database to easily search for registered NDIS providers in your area.

When your NDIS plan arrives it can feel overwhelming, but almost every plan is organised around three budget categories. Understanding the difference is the first step to using your funding well.

Core Supports

Core is usually the largest and most flexible part of your plan. It covers everyday assistance such as help with daily living, consumables, transport and social or community participation. In most cases you can move funding between Core categories as your needs change.

Capital Supports

Capital funding is for higher-cost items like assistive technology, home or vehicle modifications, and Specialist Disability Accommodation. These budgets are tightly defined — funds are quoted for a specific item and cannot be moved elsewhere.

Capacity Building

Capacity Building helps you develop skills and independence over time — things like support coordination, therapy, employment assistance and improving daily living skills. Unlike Core, funding is fixed within each Capacity Building category.

Once you can see which bucket a support comes from, planning your spending — and finding the right providers — becomes far easier.
